What should I expect on the day of my surgery?

You can expect to be in the office for about 90 minutes and will need your driver to stay with you the entire time. However, the actual treatment time will only take a few minutes. Your surgery time is an arrival time, so you do not need to come earlier than what is scheduled.

Keil LasikWhat should I expect after my surgery?

Right after your surgery, your driver will take you home, where you will rest or take a nap for 4 to 5 hours. You cannot touch your eyes until the morning after and avoid ALL rubbing for one week.
It is CRUCIAL that you follow the eye drop instructions that will be reviewed with you on your surgery day. Most patients will experience a rapid visual recovery and return to normal activity within 24 hours.

The very next day after surgery you will return for your first follow-up exam and you may drive yourself if you feel you are ready.
